Mar 6: Speech Contest
This year, “Service above Self” is the high speech contest theme. Students choose a current ethical issue they feel passionate about and in their 5–7-minute speech attempt to persuade their audience to their point of view. Each part of the Four-Way Test should be addressed. Prizes are $150, $75, and $25 respectively for first, second and third places and the top speaker will go on to compete in the District Contest on April 19th.

Teen Kitchen Project Events
Submitted by Lisa Krigsman and Matt Bergdahl
Sunrise Rotary has been a big supporter of Teen Kitchen Project and they wanted to let us know about two upcoming events in their new kitchen space.
Thursday evening 4:30 - 6:30pm, March 20th: Sip for TKP Open House (wine poured by local winery and light eats from TKP). Come and enjoy wine tasting and TKP appetizers while learning about our plans for a more permanent home that allows us to engage more teens and serve more people in our community suffering chronic and severe illness.
Sunday morning 10-1pm, May 4th - Cat and Cloud supplied coffee and bagels and pastries. Come learn about TKP's Recipe for Growth with the option to tour and see the teens at work at Kitchen 831 after.
