Last week our Club Supported Pedal the Pacific. If you aren't familiar with the project, Pedal the Pacific is a leadership program for college-aged women to recognize the power of their voices in the fight against sex trafficking. Every summer, a team of women cycles for seven weeks from Seattle to San Diego to raise awareness about sex trafficking and fund raise for nonprofits that lead the fight against the cause. The 2022 team consists of 11 young women from across the nation. For the last several years, Brent and Sheila Dunton have hosted riders and provided a connection to the Club.
This year we had about 30 Club members, friends, and family join us for the ride and or the dinner that followed and we helped the Team raise thousands of dollars to support their effort.

Greg Wimp of Togo's for providing lunch, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for all day passes for the Team, the Santa Cruz DA's Office for hosting a meet and greet Tuesday morning, and the Corralitos Woman's Club for their great facilities.
