Jim was a Rotarian for 36.5 years and a past president of our club. He will be missed.
Upcoming Meetings / Looking Ahead
Jan 18th: Dan Haifley will be our speaker, talking to us about the Treasure Cove Inclusive Park. Tom Hart will be leading the Pledge and doing the Inspiration.
Jan 25th: Ken Doctor from Lookout will be joining us. Jerry Souza is on deck for the Pledge and Inspiration.
Recent Meetings / Look Back
Seems like we have had 2 meetings already in January (wow, how time flies; how can that be?). Both meetings had interesting speakers.
As always, all meetings are recorded. Link to meeting recordings is on the Club Website info for members page.
Dan Redmon was our speaker at the Jan 4th meeting. He spoke about the Veterans Surf Alliance and asked us to be advocates for them.
Our very own Mark Junod was the speaker at the Jan 11th meeting. Mark did a bio, which brought us all up to speed on one of our founding members, as well as spoke about his philosophy of Quality Time Remaining or QTR. Check out the website, it's real interesting stuff.
Items of Interest
Largest Gathering of Sunrise Skiers/Snowboarders
The ski trip committee of Deb Dutra, Tom Hart, Tom McCullough and Rob Morse invites all skiers and boarders to join them on March 3-5 (Sunday-Tuesday). This working bum cannot make it, but sure hope lots of others do. They have 2 ski cabins reserved and can accommodate up to 12-14 overnight guests. The cost per nite is dependent on how many commit with non-refundable deposits but the range is likely to be $50-$75 per person per nite in addition to the cost of skiing on one of the nearby mountains and food. Deadline to respond is Jan 19th.
