The Past 2 Weeks
We did not have a meeting on Sep 28 - many of us were on the Bike Ride. That was quite an event, as usual. Pictures from the ride are now posted. 2 albums for your enjoyment:

Jon W also set up a shared album; we encourage everyone with pics to join and contribute their pictures to this shared album.
We were back to our regular programming at the Oct 5 meeting where we talked about the Bike Ride, gave accolades to all involved and more. Our speaker was Tohra Gohraya, President and CEO of the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership. She gave us a great overview of MBEP and what it is doing.

Community Service Opportunities
We have a bunch of upcoming community service volunteer opportunities! Sign up at the Online Sign Up Sheet (clicking on the tabs at the bottom of the screen for different dates / opportunities). Here is what is up for the month of October:
Saturday, Oct 14 between 9:30 and noon --> Housing Matters campus, 115 Coral Street: help assemble hygiene kits. We could use 3-5 more volunteers please and thank you!
Saturday, Oct 28 between 8 and noon -->. Community Food Distribution Second Harvest, 800 Ohlone Pkwy, Watsonville, CA 95076, for warehouse food sorts and food distributions, children ages 13+ may volunteer; and children from ages 10-12 may be approved to volunteer with parent/guardian/chaperone present.
Looking for Editors / Publishers / Writers
We need someone or some members to become the editor/publisher of the Reveille starting January 2024. No special skills are needed, just an interest and willingness to pull together a bit of information and send it out.
