Keith Clemens and Suzy Andrade
Keith Clemens described his participation in Special Olympics, and the Polar Plunge as well as how community support enables the athletes to participate in a wide range of activities and develop relationships with other athletes and coaches.
Suzy Andrade shared that she will participate in two Polar Plunges this year - the Santa Cruz Plunge at Rio del Mar will be her 19th. "The water will be cold" she said. "Plungers" can go all the way into the water or just put their toes in. There's also a "chicken coop" for those that want to support the effort but don't want to get wet. A $125 donation is requested. Participants get breakfast and a t-shirt. There are also other awards for top fundraisers. To participate,

Guatemala - Water Warriors Recap
John Flaniken and Jim Felich recapped their trip to Guatemala. 28 people from around the country joined this trip. They were able to install 2 of 3 water installations were completed but there's one more to go. In addition to working on water filtration systems, Jim helped with the eyeglass fitting part of the trip - over three days they fitted 800 people and changed their lives. A full report and stories still to come.

We've almost achieved our goal and truly want to express our thanks to everyone that has contributed.
A New Committee
A new fundraising committee is forming and will have its first meeting Tuesday January 24th, 7:15am at the Eleventh Hour, 1001 Cedar Street. This will be the initial discussion to address how we coordinate our fundraising events and various committees efforts through the year.
