Reminder: Our Golf Outing is on September 28th. Refer to the details in the flyer above.
Minutes from Board Meeting, Friday September 6th at Roof Rite offices.

As of that date, there was $13, 830 in the Rotary Club checking account.
The removal of the trees from Rotary Park was estimated at $600 and the current board members who were present approved and waiting to get email approval from Susan and Shellie.

The township wants to put a water tank system in to water the plants on the bridges and it would probably have to involve Rotary Park as to where a tank would be located.  Bill will coordinate with the township on how all that would impact our plans there.

David Moliterno spoke with Susan Leetch about opening an account for the Poland Rotary Foundation that will be set up.  A nonprofit status has to be obtained.  Larry also mentioned that points from Rotary Foundation donations can be transferred to a foundation account. David will confirm with Nils Johnson on the details.

Flags will have to come down after Veterans Day November 11th. There will be coordination of routes with all the members to take down flags. Tim will discuss with Brandon if we can continue to store in his garage, or a facility will have to be rented to store the flags.  Some of the flags might be battered from being out so long so they may either need replaced or possibly dry cleaned.  Larry will reach out to Town and Country dry cleaning to see what they might be able to offer.

The Night at the Races and Chili Open were discussed and efforts to promote it early will make a bigger impact then trying to work on it a month before the event.  A committee needs to be formed to meet starting in late September /early October to start the promotion.  Discussion of whether to have or when to have the Chili Open Golf was discussed . Andrew was open to any comments or suggestions on how to proceed with it but indicated that possibly another location like a field with made up tees vs his course which takes much preparation for very little reward.

Membership was discussed and how to get some interest in new members in light of recent member losses.
