Meeting Recap 11/1/2017
Congratulations to Bill and Chris Cruciger for the recognition for their partnership with Flying High. Flying High is a Youngstown based non profit organization that assists with job readiness and placement assistance for those in recovery. Recently, they were chosen to host Ohio Atty General, Mike DeWine, as he rolls out his "Recovery Ohio" plan. It features 12 proposals to help Ohio recovery from the Opioid crisis.
Operation Warm:
We are again participating in Operation Warm which provides winter coat to children in need. Dan Madden has advanced $500 from the Poland Rotary to purchase 25 coats. If you have not already donated to the cause and would like to, please make checks payable to Poland Rotary and give to Dan at the next meeting. We will likely be donating the coats to the Youngstown YWCA this year.
Salvation Army:
Rotary will be ringing the bell for the Salvation Army this year on December 11th and 12th. Sign up sheets will be available at an upcoming meeting. The kickoff breakfast will be held November 9th at Quaker Steak from 9:00-10:00. No RSVP nessessary.
Bridge Decorating date TBD but will be sometime before Thanksgiving.
Board Meeting:
There is a board meeting to be held at Wittenaurs at 8:00am on Friday morning. Main topic of discussion will be the Night at the Races event. All are welcome!
