This week's speaker was Chris Martin, Interact Director and teacher at Poland Seminary High School. The Interact program started at PSHS last year, and to-date boasts 75 student members. The club has five officers and there are minimum service requirements students must meet in order to be members of the program. Recent initiatives of the Interact program include, but are not limited to, a campus clean-up, raising money for a local family in need, volunteering at Poland Way, a book drive, assisting with Poland Community Day, and fundraising for the family of a PSHS student who suffered cancer. The Interact program targets local businesses for fundraising goals. Chris was presented with the Paul Harris Fellow award for his dedication to service and helping students give back to their community.
