“Bringing Film to Lancaster,”Carlos Gutierrez (Skype) Peter Scudner and Ryan Shenk
The film and television industry now employ more people nationally than farming and energy extraction combined. Film is a rapidly growing industry. How can Lancaster attract more of this business? Learn about the film industry and get an exclusive behind the scenes look at a feature film in production in Lancaster this month.
Special guest, Emmy award winning director, Carlos Gutierrez will virtually join local film industry professionals Peter Scudner and Ryan Shenk as they present a look at the film business, film production, tax incentives, and a comparison to other states. Carlos is in Lancaster to film "Locked In", a thriller about a single mother who must protect her daughter and herself during a heist gone wrong at a hightech storage facility.
Carlos Gutierrez is a film and television director whose work has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Emmy Award, and has been featured on HBO and Showtime. In the commercial world, Carlos is a highly sought-after director who works on national campaigns for Turbo Tax, Princess Cruises, Exxon/Mobil, Chevy and numerous others. His commercial work for clients includes a Super Bowl commercial and PSA's that have won international recognition.
Peter Scudner is Chairman of Triode Media Group, a film and video production company in Lancaster, in addition to his work in wealth management. Triode produces corporate and documentary films and videos from their studio in downtown Lancaster.
Ryan Shenk is Executive Director of the Red Rose Film Festival, which just hosted its first annual festival in Lancaster. This event brought over a thousand visitors to downtown Lancaster to see over 70 films from around the world.
Carlos will be on set filming nearby during our meeting. He will appear by video sharing an exclusive look behind the scenes of a film in production. Peter and Ryan will present in person.
