President Althea’s term is ending and I’m sure she will recap her year and note all the accomplishments of her Presidency.
President-Elect Jeremy
Prez-elect Jeremy and the Board will recognize Althea for her service and commitment to the Club during her year as President. A gift from the Board will be presented to Althea. President Althea will then pass the gavel to President-elect Jeremy.
President Jeremy will then address the Club on his upcoming year, covering traditions, goals, programs and items for his upcoming year.
This meeting is always heartwarming and exciting! We are fortunate to have the quality of membership and succession plan in place for the leadership of our Club.

Rotary Youth Exchange - Looking for Host Families!
The Club is hosting a student for the 2019-20 school year; he is an outstanding 15-year-old young man from Mexico who will arrive in August and return home the following June.
This young man enjoys movies, video games, music, skateboarding, soccer, volleyball, tennis, Taekwondo, robotics and computers. He would also like to explore acting. He lives with his parents and older brother. He has studied English for 11 years and considers himself fairly fluent in English. He has no health concerns.
We MUST quickly find three host families in the Hempfield School District for this young man; each family will host for about three and a half months. If you or anyone you know outside of Rotary is interested in this extremely rewarding experience or would like more info, please contact the committee chairs, Lisa Lewis (daytonduo@aol.com) or Jenn DeWalt (jdewalt@murrayins.com)

Committee Chairs Rich Wolman & Alicia Moranz honored the mentors with a certificate of appreciation for their work with the McCaskey Mentorship Students. The mentors recognized were:

59th Annual RYLA Conference Held

138 High School seniors attended the 59th annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference held from June 9 to 13, 2019 at Messiah College in Grantham, PA. Rotary District 7390 holds this annual conference for seniors who are selected and interviewed by the 42 Rotary Clubs in the District. Rotary District 7390 encompasses 7 counties: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York.
The 5-day conference is filled with interesting speakers, team building activities and fun. At the end of the conference, the students vote on the top 8 conferees. Seven of the students receive the Lloyd Bollinger Award which is a $500 cash award. Those students were: Ian Mills (Hershey High School), Cody Perrin (East Pennsboro High School) Angelina Torres (Middletown High School), Erin Williams (Palmyra High School), Matt Keebler (Lancaster Catholic High School), Frankie White (Dover High School), Lucas Winslow (Annville-Cleona High School). The top Conferee is awarded the William E. and Violet W. Nitrauer Leadership Award which is a $750 cash award. The recipient this year was Lindsay Aluquin (Hershey High School).
Rotary Rendezvous
The “Rendezvous” will be held at Stoner Grille on June 26th at 5:00pm, featuring a presentation from the High Center for Business. The next “RR” will be on July 24th

Steve Stockwell welcomed his first grandson, Nathan Christopher, last Saturday. His parents Chris and Abby Stockwell and the grandparents are all ecstatic!
