"Lancaster County Workforce Development Board"
Founded in 1999 as the successor to the Lancaster County Private Industry Council, the Lancaster County Workforce Development Board (LCWDB) is authorized through the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014 to be the lead Lancaster County’s workforce planning. LCWDB does this by providing business with locally-validated labor market information and coordinating services that meet the workforce needs of both businesses and the public alike.
Among their many initiatives, the LCWDB administers funds and oversight of PA CareerLink(R) Lancaster County, a comprehensive job center for Lancaster City and County residents.
Anna Ramos is the Chief Operating Officer/EO Officer of the Lancaster County Workforce Development Board. Prior to that, Anna was the Business Initiatives Director with the Lancaster Chamber for 3 years. Anna has over 19+ years of workforce development experience from her role as the Site Administrator at the PA CareerLink, working with job seekers for 15 years, combined with her work at the Lancaster Chamber and Workforce Development Board in developing relationships with the business community in addressing their workforce needs and creating the pipeline to meet those needs. Anna is involved with several local workforce committees within the county, and plays a lead role in the Career Ready Lancaster! initiative, and serves as a Board Trustee for Community Action Partnership.
