Rick Rodgers, CFP®, CRPC® is co-founder and president of Rodgers & Associates. His career in the investment and financial advisory profession began in 1984 with one of the big six Wall Street firms. Twelve years later, he co-founded Rodgers & Associates as a way to concentrate on financial planning.

A committed Christian, Rick was a field representative for Larry Burkett’s Christian Financial Concepts (now known as Crown Financial Ministries). Active in both his church and community, Rick has also volunteered as a mortgage counselor for Tabor Community Services. He serves or has served on the finance committee of the United Way of Lancaster County and the advisory boards of SCORE Lancaster, The Ware Center, and The Mix at Arbor Place. Rick enjoys golf and spending time with his ten grandchildren.

Secret Angel Program of RCL Refugee Center UPDATE
Dave Foulk thanked the 50 Club Members for having committed to being a Secret Angel! 100% filled and 100% goal met! Dave said that he should have known that if something needed to be done, simply ask a Rotarian.

Rotary Means Business
The next Rotary Means Business event will be held December 12th, 2018 at EZ Marketing, 111 Centerville Road, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The event is Free. Please register online or at the table in the back of the room.
Car Wash Tickets
The car wash committee will be selling tickets in the back of the room from now until Dec 12th.
Basic Exterior Express tickets are $8 ea. Full Service Int/Ext tickets are $19.00 ea.

Rotary Club of Lancaster Christmas Party
Our annual Rotary Holiday Party is scheduled for mid-day on Wednesday, December 19th, at the Farm & Home Center. Jeremy DeBord will provide more details with an announcement at our next meeting.

RYLA Presentation
Terry Radcliffe introduced Nathaniel Bamford, a student from McCaskey, that the RCL sent to the four and one-day Rotary event for rising seniors. Ben is the son of Ben Bamford and grandson of Past President Tom Bamford.
Our Club sent students from McCaskey, Lancaster Country Day and Lancaster Catholic. Nathaniel won a leadership award given by his peers and told the Club that this was a life-changing event for him and his fellow participants.
Each year the report is the same from the RYLA students. “Life changing, made lifelong friends, learned so much and so much about me.” We as a Club should be proud to send these young people to such an opportunity. This event “plants” that seed of Rotary and shows these kids what we’re about.
This editor believes it is the single most rewarding and best “bang for the buck” thing that we do for Rotary, creating future Rotarians, and is the epitome of “Creating Good Will and Better Friendships.”
