Graduated with distinction from Penn State University Agricultural Education and Science.  Member Alpha Zeta Fraternity and Alpha Tau Alpha Honorary Fraternity. Spent 5 years in Northeast Brazil in Agricultural Development (2 years) and Administration (3years).  Served as VP and Acting President of Founding Board of the Central PA Food Bank. Served on Board of the Lung Association of Lancaster/Berks. Served 45 years on Lancaster County Farm Bureau and 3 terms as President. Served on statewide Farm Bureau Nutrient Management Committee. Served as Treasurer, VP, and President of the Rotary Club of Paradise. Served 40 years on appointed and elected positions in Paradise Township as Planning Commission Chair, Zoning Hearing, and two 6-year Supervisor Chair terms. Developed US Patent on sealed, lubricated Total Hip Replacement Prosthesis.  Father of 4 children, all married and doing very well.  Seven grandchildren.  Wife Ginny died in 2015; married to Sherry 3 months ago, 2 children, 10 grandchildren.

 

The SARS-CoV-2 virus caused an ongoing outbreak of lower respiratory tract disease called novel coronavirus pneumonia initially. The disease name was subsequently changed to COVID-19 by the World Health Organization.  As it became a deadly global pandemic, COVID-19 threatened the essential workers that provide essential commodities and services and bring them to us.
