Holy Week Service April 17th
Rotary Club of Lancaster's weekly meeting of April 17th honoring Holy Week will be held at St. James Episcopal Church at the corner of Duke and Orange Streets. Church Services begin at 11:30 AM, with Father David Peck presiding. Meeting to follow.

Three New Members Inducted
Jeff Williams inducted three new members into the Club. Jeff noted that all three members were sponsored by Past Presidents and our current President. As Jeff noted, this speaks volumes about the quality of our Club and our membership. The new members are:
Kaitlyn Blosser hails from Dauphin, Pennsylvania and attended West Virginia University. As a Mountaineer, she was on their Division I Rowing team, while getting her BA degree in Communication specializing in Social Media. Kaitlyn works as a Digital Marketing Strategist for LNP here in Lancaster. She lives in Elizabethtown with her husband and dog. Kaitlyn enjoys the outdoors and travelling. I believe she makes the third Mountaineer in the Club, along with Jennifer Baker & Pat Whalen.
Dave Friedrichs, Sr. was born in New Jersey and was a member of the RCL for years prior to his return today. Dave attended The Wharton School of Business, served in the Navy in Guantanamo Bay and then for IBM sales. Dave then got into the investment business and founded the Hourglass Foundation. Dave currently is the CEO of Vison for Successful Aging.
Christiana Rathman was born in Glendale, California but made her way to Lancaster County with her family through a home in Shoeneck. She graduated from Warwick High School and attended HACC and York College. Christiana is a Senior Account Manager for Central Penn Business Journal and lives in Denver with her husband and three daughters, two of which are twins. She loves travelling and is an avid photographer.

Peter Barber reminded the Club that Friday, April 26, 2019 is Arbor Day and the Preserve Planet Earth will be planting trees. Peter told the Club:

Rotary Refugee Center Committee
The Refugee Center Committee is delighted that all volunteer coaching positions for the Rotary Citizenship Program have been filled. Thank you to all who have graciously offered their time to help refugees and immigrants become U.S. citizens.
Volunteer coaches, please note that the location of the Wednesday, April 17th, 10:30 a.m.-to-noon coaches training has changed to St. James Episcopal Church, the same venue as our general Rotary meeting.
Community Service Award
The Club is looking for nominees for the Community Service Award. Forms are at the back of the room and online by the time you receive this Transmitter. April 3, 2019 is the deadline for applications.
Summer Youth initiatives Committee
Bill Boben reported that this committee will meet April 3, 2019 at 11:30am in the rear of the room.
Charley Livingston Memorial Resolution
Tom Hoober presented Charley Livingston’s Memorial Resolution at the meeting. Tom highlighted Charley’s life, Rotary presence and reminded the Club of Charley’s character and positive outlook on everything.
