Dear Friends and Members,
Greetings to you all as we find ourselves in the midst of another dynamic Rotary year. It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to each of you as the current President of the Rotary Club of Point West - Sacramento. Serving in this role is an honor, and I am excited about the ongoing impact we can make together.
The heart of our club lies in living Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self." I found my way to Rotary through an invitation from a friend and colleague. The genuine camaraderie, impactful service projects, and the opportunity for personal and professional growth have kept me dedicated to this remarkable organization.
The motto of Rotary is “Service Above Self” and although we fundraise, we are actively engaged with hands-on projects in Sacramento and globally in places like Zambia, Mexico and New Zealand. The specific focus of our efforts is to benefit women and children in underserved areas. We have tutored elementary and middle school students to enable them to compete academically in high school and graduate. We provide food to those in need, we clean up our local parkway, and we hold an annual leadership conference for high school students discussing leadership and personal and business ethics.
As we invite you to join us in our Rotary journey, we hope you will find fulfillment in contributing to the ongoing betterment of our local and global community. Our club meetings, held regularly on Friday mornings at 7:30 am, at Del Paso Country Club, feature engaging speakers and provide a platform for meaningful connections.
Please check our monthly calendar to confirm location as meetings occasionally move to other locations. The time and day of the week always remain the same.
