Our speaker on January 5th was Frankie Halvey, son of our club's president. Frankie is a 5th Grade student at St Thomas Choir School in New York City. It is one of only three boarding church related choir schools in the world. Many consider the Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys to be the leading ensemble in the Anglican choral tradition in the United States. Frankie shared a little about the school, told about the typical day of a chorister and answered questions from the club. It was a real Rotary Moment because Frankie learned about the school when St Thomas had a recruitment concert at Zion Episcopal Church that the Rotary Club provided dinner for!
