The theme for Rotary Year 2023-2024 was to Create Hope in the World and we tried our best to serve in ways to do so.
We are PROUD & GRATEFUL to have been acknowledged by Rotary District 7210 with awards and recognitions for our achievements!
1. District Service Project Award for our Period Product Initiative Service Project founded by member Elizabeth Stevens & committee members. Our connection to serving with The Sloatsburg Food Pantry , Women's Distance Festival & Good Samaritan Hospital Suffern, NY Girls Night Out event was expanded with the PPI Project.
2. District 7210 Hall of Fame honoree PDG Larry Palant who has touched many lives in our community.
3. District 7210 Rotarian of the Year award to our member Judy Hirschler-Klein.

Our Mental Health Initiative strived to meet the call of RI President to address the importance of Mental Health Care. Our Mental Health Initiative Committee presented 4 powerful presentations to inform identification, treatments and community resources to support mental health needs on: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depression, Abusive Relationships and the Mind-Body Connections. Finally, we want to also comment Suffern Rotary Club was the #1 fundraising team in the Walk to Fight Alzheimers for Alzheimer's Association Hudson Valley NY Chapter in Rockland County with over $30,000 raised (approximately $220,000 was raised for the walk). Two of our teammates ranked in the Top 10 individual fundraisers, with David Hendler being the #1 individual fundraiser in Rockland county (over $20,000 raised). Suffern Rotary Club was the #1 Rotary fundraising team in the entire United States. On the personal achievements side, two of our team members ranked in the “Top 10” individual Rotarian fundraisers in the United States. As well, our club & team member David Hendler was the top Rotarian fundraiser in the United States.
