These sultry August days are slowly drifting away. Soon students will be back to school, days with shorter sunlight and cooler evenings.  September 2022 is filled with many Rotary events & opportunities to serve your community.  Meals on Wheels is starting a new 2 month cycle, Weekend Snack Attack packing & deliveries will begin again.  Listed below are some new events that could use some helping hands. Please think about ways you would like to serve.
Your club members are very interested in hearing your ideas of ways to help serve our community and making them a reality. Rotary wants to help each club member find fulfillment in being a Rotarian. If you have any ideas for a new project or fundraiser, please share them with your fellow Rotarians.

Guest speaker Mike Malandra talks about self defense and information about his studio.
At Malandra's Martial Arts Center his goal is to help students realize their greatest potential, both physically and mentally. They strive to accomplish this mission not just by training the body, but by training the mind as well. This means they constantly challenge their students to attempt new things and encourage them to be their very best. They help them develop the confidence in themselves and their abilities so they can overcome difficult obstacles and meet challenges head-on, rather than giving up.
The students learn how to build upon their natural instincts and react from a position of strength. Through Mushin Do they acquire the skills necessary to effectively defend themselves and respond in a free-flowing manner. They apply this knowledge in all aspects of their lives and begin to develop into true martial artists. At Malandra's Martial Arts Center, they are proud to say the students learn a great deal in a short time about who they are.
