District 4210 Service Symposium highlighted ideas for literacy service projects, RYLA Exchange Students and local service organizations.
The purpose of a Rotary Service Symposium is to educate Rotary members on the many ways to serve.  This symposium surely delivered this message in a big way. The focus of the activities & speakers emphasized service comes in many sizes. Small ones, such as making book marks, sorting & labeling used books or large ones such as a community motorcycle group that teachers HS students the importance of service or an International project that helps builds schools.
We were introduced to the RYLA students and they participated in the projects of the day. Our 'take away' was building a Little Free Library to take back to our communities.  Add a bag of books & handmade bookmarks to take with us to fill that Little Free Library and all we have to do is plant the LF Library somewhere in our community.
