Here are some of the e-mails I have received from Donalee while she and John are in Vera Cruz, Mexico:

It's been amazing here. District gov met us at the airport. We drove two hours to a school ribbon cutting. Then dinner with 30 rotarians. We are staying with a family of 4. They have a camera store. Also a maid driver and grounds keeper. Then we went to city hall for a ceremony thanking Rotarians especially 8 from us or columbia. We got a citation and picture   All the newspapers were there taking pictures. Then to a symphony concert. We left home 3am. Tired. Full day tomorrow. Project fair suppose to be 22 clubs showing their projects. They take rotary seriously. All wearing rotary shirt pins jackets. I forgot my rotary business cards. This will need to be a program when I get back

Donalee

That was day one. Today was their project fair. We met with 22 clubs who had 1-4 projects each. There is so much need here and rotary is trying to do so much. There are schools to rebuild,  water projects so much need for medical equipment school desks computers. Very overwhelming. The government gives nothing for all of this. Out again tonight. Forgot. I cut the ribbon for the opening ceremony. Got a welcome citation and signed a fellowship agreement with this district and our club.
