Serena Marrero, Vice President, Philanthropy
Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley (CFHV)

Serena Marrero joined CFHV in December 2020. Her focus is on helping philanthropic individuals, families and organizations increase the impact of their charitable giving in the local community and beyond. She collaborates extensively with attorneys, financial advisors, and accountants, serving as a resource to support their efforts with clients interested in charitable giving and gift planning. As such, she also serves as a planned giving resource to donors, nonprofits, and professional advisors. She is a 21/64 Certified Advisor, guiding multigenerational families in their charitable legacies. Her prior experience includes 25+ years working with local organizations such as Lostand Foundation, Westchester Medical Center Foundation at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, Mohonk Preserve, Abilities First, and the New York Council on Nonprofit (NYCON). Marrero serves on the advisory committee of Arts Mid-Hudson.
