Jeff Cadge is the incoming President for the Briarcliff Manor Rotary Club.
He has been involved with The Cookstove Project for over 6 years, first as a supporter, then as a volunteer and now a board member, we have plans to launch a Rotary satellite club next year.
The Cookstove Project shares 3 of the 7 areas of focus of Rotary International: Maternal and Child Health, Disease Prevention and Protecting the Environment.
The most dangerous activity a woman in the developing world can undertake is cooking for her family.
Globally 2.6 billion people cook indoors with an open fire, damaging their health and the health of their children.
Open fire cooking leads to the premature death of approximately 3.8 million people each year.
That’s higher than the number of annual deaths due to malaria, HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis combined!
The mission of The Cookstove Project is to eliminate preventable diseases & deaths and reduce the environmental impacts that are caused by cooking over an open fire. We help build life changing clean cookstoves in Uganda & Nepal that save lives and decrease climate change.

Project RESTORE Hudson Valley environmental Global Grant project begins in July!
Grow your knowledge, skills and leadership to help our community respond to the climate crisis and build community resilience!
The RESTORE Leadership Academy is a free two-day immersion program for anyone wanting to take more informed action and leadership on climate change. Hosted by Sustainable Hudson Valley staff and brought to you by Rotary, the program consists of six 90-minute sessions over two Saturdays, culminating in a hands-on project at each of four currently planned locations (other locations coming in Fall 2026).

All bikes that were collected have been distributed to new owners in our community!

It took the amazing painting crew only a few days to scrape, repair, and paint all of the Village's benches!

We are a small, group of seniors and family caregivers who like to socialize, laugh, and have fun.
