Subject: 🌹 Rotary Family Dinner – “The Ways Canada Remembers” with Carol Bateman | Nov. 10
Dear Rotary Family and Friends,
On behalf of President Kathleen, you’re warmly invited to our Rotary Family Dinner & Remembrance Evening on Monday, November 10th, 2025.
Join us for an evening of fellowship, reflection, and inspiration as we welcome back Commander (Ret’d) The Reverend Canon Carol Bateman CD — a former club member, military veteran, and chaplain — for her talk: The Ways Canada Remembers: A Chaplain’s Time in the Canadian Armed Forces. Carol will share meaningful stories from her service, including her time in Afghanistan and the ceremony of laying to rest a WWI soldier. We’re also delighted to host Murray Bateman, Carol’s husband and a proud veteran, as our honoured guest.
This evening is about connection, community, and remembrance — so remember, we’re “Friend-Raising”! Bring a friend, neighbour, or colleague to share in Rotary fellowship and experience what makes our club special.
Meal Rates:
-
Members & Invited Guests: Free
-
Rotary Family Adults: $10
-
Children: $5
-
Walk-in Visitors: $15
We look forward to an evening that nourishes both the heart and the spirit. Together, let’s celebrate service, friendship, and those who have served.
Yours in Rotary Service,
Kevin, Annette & Sean
