Wasaga Beach
Municipal Beach Area Two
Wasaga Beach, ON

As discussed at the recent meeting, we are going to start enjoying a Rotary Family and Friends Outdoor Social on the Third Monday of every month. The first event will be on October 18 and will be an opportunity for all of us to join and watch a sunset together. The club will be providing soft drinks, bottled water, hot chocolate, tea or coffee. We also want everyone to enjoy the sunset on a full stomach, so we will serve Hot Dogs and Hamburgers (Veggy Burgers as well), so come hungry.

There was hope for a camp fire but no open fires are permitted anywhere in the park. We can however have a barbeque for cooking in the grassy area. So, huddling around the barbeque may be an alternative for those who do not bundle up adequately.

Who: All Rotary Member or Friends of Rotary and their Families. (Past Members, Children, Grandchildren, etc.)

What: Rotary Sunset Gathering.

Where: Municipal beach area TWO this is a change. The Provincial parks are not open.

When: Monday October 18, 2021 6:00PM Barbeque will be sparked up and serving from 5:30 on. Sunset is to occur at 6:30 on the 18th. ( I misspoke about the date at a recent meeting, so check your calendars and make corrections)

* COVID CONSIDERATIONS: This is an outdoor event with plenty of room for social distancing. We ask that everyone be prepared and responsible for masking where appropriate. Hand Sanitizer will be available onsite. Disposable masks will be available onsite. All food preparation and serving will be completed by double vaccinated Rotarians, using masks and gloves at all times. Disposable Paper Plates will be used.

Rest Rooms; The municipal bathrooms at Beach one MAY be open, but please prepare ahead of time. The other options are two outhouses or a quick drive to Grandmas Beach Treats up the street.

Parking: The free parking from the Province has expired, but we will check with the Park to see if we can get an exception. If not, ensure that you get a ticket at the entrance to the park to display in your window, or walk in after parking on 22nd Street. (Those wanting to walk a bit are also welcome to park at Grandma's)

We hope to see as many as possible. Please register for this event and include guests so that we can prepare for adequate food and drink.
