60th Martini Gala

The snow was blowing and the highways around town were closed but that didn't stop the Rotary Club of Timmins-Porcupine from coming out to celebrate an amazing 60 years of service within our community. In attendance were not only members and there family and friends but also guests from various organizations our club is currently partnering with, the Mayor of our great City Mr. Tom Laughren and our MPP Gilles Bisson. Everyone had fun sampling our special "Rotini" created especially for the evening, the crowd was also given some great information about the last 60 years of service, cheque presentations were handed out to several deserving organizations and our two special speakers Rajeev Wijesinghe, a former exchange student to Autrailia and Johnathon Zinc, motivational speaker, had our heart strings tugging, our spirits soaring and our faces smiling with thier unique styles.

The club has currently donated more than 1.9 million dollars locally and is working everyday to continue to increase those numbers and also become more hands on. A focus is currently underway to grow our membership, be more invloved with the organizations we donate to and support our club in another 60 years of service!
