Middleburgh Rotary Club Visit

We were visited by 15 members of the Middleburgh Rotary club on April 20, 2017.  A special Rotary pin was auctioned off, and the proceeds were split between the two clubs.  Wes Andrews, president of the Windham club, shared with us the events and activities that their very active club undertakes.  They organize an Arts and Crafts show, Harvest Festival, Canoe and Kayak Regatta, Triathlon, and a 5K road race.  Additionally, at the holiday season they deliver poinsettias to shut-ins and decorate the parking meters in the village with candy canes.  They support two food pantries and participate in the Memorial Day presentation.  This year they are again participating in the youth exchange program.  The Middleburgh club applied for and received a district grant to buy banners for the village recognizing veterans, welcoming visitors to town, and encouraging people to shop local.  Then Judy Goodsell presented the activities that our club organizes, emphasizing our very successful youth programs.
