Miss Arizona promotes anti-bullying campaign

Miss Arizona Katelyn Niemiec visited The Rotary Club of Peoria North on Jan. 11 to share her personal story and talk about a campaign she advocates that aims to prevent bullying in schools. Her program, “Bullying S.T.O.P.S. Here,” has been shared in eight school districts and she has conducted workshops at several Valley schools over the past seven years. Miss Niemiec, a resident of Scottsdale, represented the state in the Miss USA pageant last fall. Miss Niemiec took time after her talk to pose for a photo with club members.
