Several members of the Peoria North Rotary Club joined a number of other District 5495 Rotarians at this year's Rotary International convention held Jun3e 22-27 in Toronto, Canada. Ken and Fran Parsons, Bret McKeand and Sharee Sheets represented PNRC. Bret's wife, Michelle, also joined the group.
This year's convention featured several high-profile keynote speakers, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and former First Lady Laura Bush.
District 5495 attendees all met for a dinner Sunday night at the Hot House Restaurant in downtown Toronto to celebrate the end of District Governor Nancy Van Pelt's term.
Ken, Bret, Fran and Michelle attended a host hospitality event on Monday night that focused on refugees in Canada and a social on Tuesday night hosted by the local Rotary district in Canada.
