J. Mark Collins is a front-line supervisor with 24 years policing experience, holds an Honours Degree in Criminology from Carleton University and is a recent graduate of The Association for Research into Crimes against Art (ARCA) in Amelia, Italy. He has had several articles published in periodicals and national newspapers, and recently published his first novel, Hard Drive, which was selected as a Finalist for the Arthur Ellis Award for Best First Novel in Canada.  He and his wife Laura have three children and live on the family farm in Baltimore, Ontario, where he teaches Karate when he's not writing or chasing after the kids.
