Weekly Rotary Meeting of July 20, 2009

It was a memorable and often tearful meeting as Manon, our French
exchange student, bade farewell and presented a series of photos
highlighting the many people she has met and the trips she has taken.
Manon was accompanied by the Kawartha Club's incoming exchange student,
Jessica Rodrigues from Brazil. Both of these exceptional young women
are a testament to the joys and spirit of the Rotary Youth Exchange
program. Manon and Jessica are pictured to the left.
Al Harding, of "Al on the Roof" thanked the Club for its support and he was followed by Stu Harrison, General Manager of the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce, who gave a presentation on the benefits of the upcoming harmonized provincial and federal sales taxes.
All in all, a good meeting and one to be remembered.
