Peterborough's Economic Journey was the topic addressed by Dr. Tom Phillips of Fleming College at our weekly meeting. Dr. Phillips highlighted the transformation in Peterborough's economic base from natural resources to manufacturing and finally today's emerging knowledge-based and service era. Any change presents productivity challenges and Dr. Phillips outlined the necessity of innovation, investment and transformation as the key areas of emphasis.
