Rotary was invited to participate in Peterborough Pulse an open street festival Saturday July 16 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. We decided that this was an opportunity to promote our club so agreed to “Adopt-A-Barricade" on the Charlotte St entrance to the festival at Louis St. Our shelter had the  Swimathon, Auction & Spelling Bee vertical banners placed to face Charlotte St & club banners from around the world were hung from the roof frame (see photo). Rotarians Mo Cox & Susan Sharpe supplied tables & chairs which we transported on a trolley. Rotarian Tracey Osmond provided  cookies & suckers which we placed on the tables beside Club & Spelling Bee bookmarks (with the offer of a free ice-cream cone). 12 Rotarians wearing the new Rotary vests served 2 hour shifts. Thanks to co -captains  Pete MacLoghlin & Bill Crins, Tracey, Brant, & our Rotary volunteers
