Our meekly meeting was the occasion for honouring our Canada Day Essay Contest winners.  Jaime Bondy-Donahue chaired the event for the fourth year.  Students in Grades 4 to 6 were asked to submit essays defining what it means to be a Canadian.  First place went to Jake Smith of Kawaetha Montessori School who was unable to make the meeting.  Pictured left to right are second place winner Amaelia Beaton  from Ecole Monsignor Jamot School, first runner-up Lilly Fenton from St. Catherine’s, third place winner Ryder Adair from the Kawartha Montessori School, and second runner-up Reilly Bates from St. Catherine’s.
