Another Successful Rotary Carl Oake Swimathon

The 31st Rotary Carl Oake Swimathon was held on February 17, 2017, and it was another successful fundraiser.  The Swimathon Committee announced $44,000 in donations after expenses and more money is still coming in.  The award for top donor went to Rotarian Peter MacLoghlin who raised $3,150.00. A cheque for $11,037 was presented to Coralie Jacobs, development officer at Easter Seals.  The money is used to send children with physical disabilities to a fully accessible summer camp as well as providing kids with mobility equipment. However, the whole event is dependent on the team of volunteers, pictured above, who put in many hours of dedicated service.
