The City of Maple Grove is recognizing the national holiday of Juneteenth on Monday June 19th at Town Green from 3 to 8 p.m. The Rotary Club of Maple along with the Maple Grove Lions are offering two $500 scholarships for BIPOC students that submit an essay on what Juneteenth means to them or what they hope to learn about Juneteenth as a national holiday. The winner will be presented the scholarship that evening.
A black-owned business fair, spoken word and story telling with live music and dance performances will be held. Family friendly activities will be held.
