Rosemary Calhoon Takacs, CPA/CPIM, BBA/MS, RPCV - Until June 2015, Rosemary was a Senior Internal Auditor for JEA, where she worked for the last decade of her professional career. Previously she held controller positions in pharmaceutical chemical, metal stamping and medical device manufacturing in California. Her public accounting career kicked off in Michigan and Indiana where she specialized in auditing manufacturers. CPA/ CPIM, BBA/MS are all typical credentials associated with production scheduling, inventory management, risk analysis, accounting and controllership. What differentiates Rosemary is the RPCV; she has served as a Peace Corps volunteer twice. Her first service took her to Paraguay (88-90) and most recently to Guatemala (15-16). Intermittently she managed a water project in Honduras for Engineers without Borders. Rosemary has partnered her love of Central and South America with her project management skills and is promoting a clean water system for La Esperanza, Chimaltenango, Guatemala.

Sherry M. Mahoney joined Mayo Clinic in 1995 and serves as Director of Nutrition and the Dietetic Internship. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Educator. She has her Bachelor of Science and Master’s in Business Administration. During her time at Mayo Clinic she has facilitated development of multiple nutrition based programs including their Diabetes Education Program. She has additionally provided oversight for healthy based nutrition guidelines for inpatient, staff and visitor food service operation. To date she has graduated over 150 dietetic interns. She was awarded the Mae Barry Service Excellence Award at Mayo Clinic. Sherry is captain of the Mayo Clinic Florida Bike team and a frequent invited sports nutrition speaker. She is a member of The Ponte Vedra Beach Rotary. |

John Haley and John Freeman from the Jacksonville Chamber to discuss the Global Cities Initiative. The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce is working to raise awareness in Northeast Florida of the opportunity for businesses in the global markets. Their presentation is part of an outreach campaign to encourage local companies to think globally. John H Haley, Consultant JAXUSA Partnership, Director, JAX Global Trade John H. Haley currently serves as consultant to the JAXUSA Partnership, the regional economic development organization responsible for marketing the Jacksonville/Northeast Florida region to new and expanding businesses nationally and internationally. In his consulting role, he directs the operations of JAX Global Trade, the Metro Jacksonville/Northeast Florida entrée to the nationwide Global Cities Initiative program jointly sponsored by the Brookings Institution and JPMorgan Chase. The mission of JAX Global Trade is to spur economic growth in the region by increasing the contribution to overall economic output made by International Trade & Commerce. John has been employed in a number of consulting roles since retiring in 2013 from JAXUSA Partnership where he served for 20 years as Senior Vice President, Business Development. John has broad experience in industrial and economic development and has served in CEO roles for several economic development organizations. John is a 1966 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and has several professional certifications. He is also a military veteran retiring as a Captain in the U.S. Navy with a combined 30 years of active and reserve duty service. |

Zachary Champagne is the Director of Advocacy and Programs for the Jacksonville Public Education Fund where he is responsible for working with and empowering the excellent teachers in Duval County and coordinating the EDDY Awards. He spent thirteen years as an elementary school teacher with a specialization in math and science. During this time, he received many state and national awards for excellence in teaching, including the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST), Duval County Teacher of the Year, and Finalist for Macy’s Florida Teacher of the Year. After his time in the classroom, Zachary spent six years as a researcher at the Florida Center for Research in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (FCR-STEM) at Florida State University. Zak is very active with local, state, and national organizations as a founding member and Past-President of the Duval Elementary Mathematics Council (DEMC), Past-President of the Florida Mathematics Presidential Awardees Association (FMPAA), and President of the Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics (FCTM). He is also serving on the Editorial Board of Teaching Children Mathematics, an elementary mathematics journal published by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). |

Ronnie Tittle Currently serves as Florida Department of Transportation’s Northeast Florida District 2 Communications Specialist focusing on Duval, Nassau, Clay and St. Johns Counties Retired from U.S. Air Force and Florida National Guard as Lieutenant Colonel with 31 years active duty; Colonel Select 2011 - 2014: State of Florida Government Consultant as Public Affairs Advisor for the Florida Department of Military Affairs 2001 – 2011: Active duty U.S. Air Force Director of Public Affairs and Communications Director for the Florida Army and Air National Guard statewide 1993 – 2001: Director of Logistics for the U.S. Air Force Florida Air National Guard’s 202nd RED HORSE Engineering Squadron 1973 – 1993: U.S. Air Force Law Enforcement and Security Operations for the 125th Fighter Wing, U.S. Air Force Florida Air National Guard NORAD Air Defense. Rose through the enlisted ranks to Master Sergeant. Responsible for reviewing and approving operating and capital budgets for JEA’s coal fired joint owned units and the joint owned 500KV transmission lines. Participate on the JEA nuclear power teams for current and future generation.Director, T&D Maintenance 5 Years Responsible for the electrical transmission and distribution maintenance departments. System area included 740 electrical transmission miles and 5,300 overhead and underground distribution miles including vegetation management.
