Sergent Robert Baskey provided information about a Youth-Veteran Vimy Pilgrimage that was suppose to occur in 2017 however due to terrorist threats this event was canceled. Sgt Baskey is part of a Metis Nation of Ontario Council, 7 members all served in the Canadian Forces. The Metis are featured in a monument in Ottawa reflecting on the war of 1812. Orillia Community Action Network in Orillia is a pilot project that will help individuals in our community get the help they need from local help such as Info Orillia, Unitied Way of greater Simcoe County, North Simcoe Victim Crisis Services, Canadian Mental Health, Georgian College and Orillia OPP.
