Our First Meeting of 2026: Tuesday, January 6
>>IMPORTANT NOTE: Please bring indoor shoes to this week’s meeting as Creative Nomad recently had their floor refinished and outdoor shoes will not be permitted until it has cured.<<
This week we’ll be resuming our regular meeting schedule, and we’ll be kicking things off with our usual First Tuesday meeting format at Creative Nomad Studios. Please plan to arrive at 4:45 p.m. to enjoy some snacks and social time before the formal portion of the meeting begins at 5:15.
This week, Lois will be presenting a Membership Minute and we’ll hear from Erica F. who will be giving her Classification Talk. We’ll also be covering club business and committee updates.
January is Vocational Service Month
January is Rotary’s Vocational Service Month, a time to reflect on how our daily work can be a powerful form of service. Vocational Service reminds us that Rotary values integrity, high ethical standards, and the belief that every profession has the ability to strengthen our community.
Whether through mentoring, sharing expertise, or simply modeling fairness and respect in our work, Rotarians put “Service Above Self” into practice through their vocations.
For our club, this month is also an opportunity to honor the dignity of work and the contributions of professionals and tradespeople who help make our city thrive.
In that spirit, our club will be hosting a “Service Above Self” awards presentation during our January 13 meeting. Thank you to Jennifer and the Vocational Service Committee for for their work on this, and please see the calendar for more details.
