On February 28, our Club participated in Coldest Night of the Year.
Coldest Night of the year is a Canada-wide event that raises essential funds for local charities that support people experiencing homelessness. Here in Orillia, funds raised support The Lighthouse and our club raised over $700 this year.
At Our Last Meeting
On February 24, the club visited the Simcoe County affordable housing and social services building at 250 West Street North.
We had the opportunity to tour and learn about the county's Ontario Works services, the housing units located in the complex, and the Agilec Employment Services office.
Afterward, we headed to Lake County Grill for food and fellowship!
Coming Up At This Week's Meeting
On March 3, we are back at Creative Nomad for our monthly First Tuesday meeting. We'll hear updates from the Car Lottery Committee, Vocational Services Committee, and Board, and Grant will be doing a Classification Talk.
