Dress for Success is an international organization covering over 30 countries.
The Barrie & Orillia branch, started a few short years ago, is one of the newest in Canada. Dress for Success receives no government funding and is reliant on business and individual donations.
Dress for Success is best known for assisting women with proper attire as they seek employment. But Dress for Success goes well beyond that. It strives to empower women to achieve economic independence with programs that develop motivation, confidence, communication skills and by providing a support network - all to help women be successful in the ever-changing workplace. Their cornerstone programs are:
Suiting (professional clothing assistance)
Breakfast Club - 9 wk. program provides motivation, helps build strength, confidence and mindfulness is dealing with stress and goes all the way to managing one's social media
Professional Women’s Group – covers retaining & growing in your job, conflict resolution, understanding organizational culture and unwritten rules of the workplace
Dress for Success has 30 local community partners and has served over 400 women since local startup.
Orillia Rotary will be making a donation to the Rotary PolioPlus program in the name of Dress for Success.
