Announcement

Tony Telford chaired today's meeting in Laura's abscence and he brought us another rotary inspired story about how he was experimenting with uber while out on the town in the big smoke , met a driver who was from Pakistan who had good words about Rotary in his country.  This driver although educated and well off back home was working hard to succeed in Canada.  He spoke of the "purple people " when referring to the Rotarians who went into dangerous territory to inoculate against polio.

Mario  reminded us as well as the students and teachers in attendance of the upcoming youth leadership weekend at Geneva park

Sarge and Happy Bucks

Sarge today was Dean and of course had to fine our 50 to winners Randy and Chuck and could not let tony get by without a fine so found his procedures at chairing our meeting a bit rusty and for being a little too liberal with his hugs and kisses and double fined him. Greg was fined for missing a greeting duty and Mario for being a little late.   It seems he may of cut it short due to the lengthy agenda for today's meeting and we proceeded to happybucks

 happy Bucks

kevin started happy bucks being pleased to have Brenda join him at his table and to here she may be joining our club. Anne Ziegler was happy to have been awestruck by the beautiful blanket of snow which greeted her through her homes front windows.  This was immediately followed by Neil being equally happy that the beautiful snow had begun to melt and would soon be gone.  Dean was happy to report that he was able to take the time to look after  his mom following her surgery and that she is recovering very nicely. He also gave a buck or two because he was entering the coldest night of the year walk fundraiser for which funds raised would be matched dollar for dollar and for which he just happened to have sponsorship sign up sheets with him with which anyone interested could participate. Greg was happy that his daughter thanks to her talent at tennis was being offered scholarships from some top universities in the US. Tony was also happy to have had a fun Valentines weekend in toronto
