Last week, our club rolled up our sleeves at Hillcrest Lodge, a local affordable assisted living facility for seniors. Volunteers spent the afternoon gardening, painting, and brightening up the grounds for the residents. Thank you to everyone who came out and showed what "Service Above Self" truly looks like!
September 30th Club Meeting - Please wear orange if you are able, to stand in solidarity with survivors and communities affected by residential schools.
This week, our meeting will be brief as we recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a time to honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, and to support Survivors and their families.
On September 30, we will begin our meeting at 4:45 at Creative Nomad Studios. The meeting will entail:

District News – District 7010 Conference Recap
The District 7010 Conference wrapped up in beautiful Wasaga Beach. It was an inspiring weekend filled with fellowship, learning, and forward-looking ideas for Rotary’s future.
Highlights included:
Inspiring keynote sessions focused on Rotary’s role in building inclusive communities.
Renewed commitment to Ending Polio, with exciting news about our continued partnership with the Gates Foundation.
Thank you to all club members who attended and represented our club.
Other Upcoming Events
October 3-4- Volunteering at Orillia Fall Fair directing parking. In exchange for our efforts, ODAS Park will extend us a free hall rental for our Lobsterfest event in the spring. Talk to Tony to sign up!
November 22 - Santa Claus Parade! Tony is leading the charge this year but needs a chair or co-chair to help organize.We’re looking for creative ideas and volunteers to make this year’s float the best yet.
Sip, Shop, and Sparkle is a fundraising event that features food, friendship, shopping, and wine. Previously called Girls Night Out, it is a popular event that raises important funds for our charitable causes!
The committee could still use some volunteers and is looking for vendors who sell home, health and wellness, or other products that fit with the event.
