There is NO LUNCH meeting Feb 25th as we will be at Fern Resort on Saturday February 22nd for those involved in Student weekend. There are sign up sheets being circulated for members/spouses and their kids if they wish to attend . $35 per person if you are not hosting a student.
50/50 winners - 1st prize of $12 won by John Hammill. 2nd prize of $8 was won by Nancy Amos. Total collected was $42 so $22 goes to Foundation.
The President Elect was made to pay for Mme President . Greg? Nosy? ......hmmmm. Nancy paid $1 as Angela was skating on thin ice with that comment. Kevin too added to the $ fun. Anne Z paid a $ for not mentoring, Greg was unsure for what or for who but he was on a cash hunt. John Hammill forked over $1 for winning 50/50 and Nancy A gave up $.50 of her winnings. There was a group of women sitting together, just ladies.....cost them $1 each for their lack of diversity . Ralph Cipolla filed a serious compliant regarding the lack of mathematical accuracy last week in Greg's addition skills regarding the question of how many medals Canada had at that point. He wanted a refund for the $6 collected. Angela in her infinite wisdom overruled this request. ( Greg agreed to find a math tutor, not too hard when you work at a bank).
Angela paid a happy buck because Nancy A paid her fine for her and that Don W. is doing ok.
We were going to have an election for an open spot on the Board but no nominations were received. We need some new faces, not makeovers, just new faces!!!1 It's one meeting per month , the Board goes out for dinner.
We inducted our newest Rotary member, Barb Rumsey into our Club. She is a retired school teacher and was also a dance teacher. She walked the 60 km walk to end Breast Cancer. Welcome, Barb!
We then held our Committee Meetings.
Remember--no meeting February 25th!!! See you March 4th.
