Sarge and Happy Bucks

- Ralph was charged for cleaning out his Garage and for Accusing a Fellow Rotarian of something...

- Tony T. was the fellow Rotarian, who was in fact charged for underpaying for his 50/50 tickets.7

- John referred to Kevin as being "old" during the week - paying today.

- Tracey was charged to let her know we were glad to see her

- Nicole was charged because Kevin wanted to be the first one to charge her as she becomes an official member.

- Greg was charged for his Lawyer joke which apparently deeply scarred Tracey.

- Rusty, Mark, and Nancy were charged for wining 50/50 prizes.

Randy avoided his charge due to having paid for immunity.

Tony was happy about being able to play Golf with Rick (who apparently deserves a green jacket) and Mike. Also because for Kathleen's Father's Birthday they arranged a call to him from Bobby Orr.

Dave was happy because he's a grandpa! Congrats to you and the family Dave.

Andrew was happy because he won 1st place for "Toastmaster".

Dean was happy for a great time in Portugal.

Anne was sad that Andrew and Ralph didn't tell her to wear purple!

Doug was happy for a great Road Trip with his wife.

Don put in  a dollar because he now has a date for his next operation.

Jed was happy to have had his daughter with him for the meeting.

Program

The Speaker this Week was Mike Ross from the Colio Brewing Company - He brought treats!

Also - Committee Reports.
Mike shared with us a bit about the History of the Company, going back to the 30s and the win growing at that time around Lake Erie North Shore.

Originally Ontario Wine was horrible, Mike has excited to report that it is in fact getting quite a bit better.

He praised the brand for it being local and encouraged us to buy local because only a very small fraction of the cost on what is imported remains in Ontario.

Colio purchased Thornbury Village Cider and Beer company some time ago and are very proud of their product. One of their drinks won "Best Beer in the World" and was amoung 100's of other entrees from other Countries around the World.

Mike brought samples for us including one product that hasn't even hit the market yet.

Thanks Mike for a good presentation and for treating us, we'll hold you to your promise to come back in the future.

Committee Reports

Julie - Social Committee - reviewed the committee's mamdate to oversee social events and to "encourage fellowship" and provide opportunities for the same outside regular meetings. Some suggestions being discussed include: A Picnic (which we have had for some time now), a show at the Casino, A Dinner Theatre, A progressive Dinner Party, Euchre nights, and bowling and pizza night, etc.

Neil - still trying to fill spaces. Primairly, with a couple takers he now has all spots filled until 2017.

No report from PR

No report from Foundation

Greg - Program - All guests/speakers booked until Christmas.

Andrew - Membership - Spoke about new goals, and intentionality within the committee for member recruitment and retention.

No report from Community Giving

Dean - Special Projects - Spoke about an Easter Turkey Project, and thanked Nancy for her work in acquiring the Grant.

Vocational Committee - Student of the Month begins, and Darlene will be overseeing Awards and Scholarships.

Tony - Rural Community Service - Talks about projects in Ecuador and the Dominican. $3100 was able to purchase a Fresh water source and storage for the same. The plan is to expand this year to let the system also help with irrigation and compost.
