With just over a week left in the Rotary Year, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all club members, this year's outstanding Board of Directors, and especially all those who served on committees and volunteered at events and service projects. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to lead such a dedicated and hardworking group of individuals.

Thank you to all who attended president's night! It was an evening to remember. For anyone who couldn't make it, the recording link is included below.
We enjoyed fellowship and delicious food catered by Krew Katering, and then moved into speeches and awards. Thank you to Jennifer Hiltz-Kane for her work on putting the evening together!
Kirsten Ross received the Theme Award, the President's Award was shared between Jennifer Hiltz-Kane and Erica Fomenko, and Jan Veitch received the Sugar Bowl for his recent comments regarding moving the pollinator project to the base of the Champlain Monument.
Some special President's awards were also introduced, including:
The MVP Award, presented to Dale Rowe for her reliability and outstanding contributions throughout the year
The Quiet Hero Award, presented to Dennis Good, who is not one to seek the spotlight, but whose work in the background ensured that the meeting room was set up and ready to go each week
The Connector Award, presented to Allan Lafontaine, who went above and beyond in connecting the club with a range of relevant community organizations through his speaker bookings
The Service in Action Award, presented to Tony Telford, whose outstanding ability to not only show up but actively lead and contribute to a wide range of initiatives was integral to the success of the club this year.

This week, June 23, we'll be heading to Elgin Bay Club for a social celebrating Cliff Whitfield's birthday. Check your inbox for an email from Jennifer with details on this event.
The final meeting of June is a Fireside Chat with your new Club President, Dale Rowe, on Tuesday, June 30. She'll be giving an update on committees.
As I hand the reins over to Dale, I look forward to the great things we will accomplish in 2026-27. Thanks again to everyone for all you have done to make this year a success!
