Hello September!

What does September mean to everyone?

The End of Summer.   For many the end of their holidays.  The end of very hot temperatures and the beginning of a new season.

It is the Beginning of Fall!

It is the start of the kids and adults going back to school, new schedules, new goals and new beginnings.   

Temperatures will start changing, colours of autumn will be within our surroundings and the freshness of the crisp air. 

I always look forward to a new season.   It seems to bring on creativity and new ideas!

 

President Andrew addressed the idea of setting up a Strategic Plan again for the Orillia Rotary Club. 

This would address old & new ideas, goal setting for today & the future plus acknowledging what is the focus for our club moving forward.

Perfect timing to set the season in motion!

FALL HAPPY BUCKS!

 

Everyone is Happy and so is the money jar!

Kevin  is Happy daughter finished baseball therefore he finished coaching.   Onto the next sport?

 

Dean  is celebrating pure happiness! 

 

Alan is happy about the successful weekend at the Pirate Party.     Walking the Plank, Treasure Hunt, and Partying like a Pirate with great music. Also, Successful presentation of the Aqua Theatre Refurbishment Plans and banner placement by both Alan and Alison. 

 

Mark is Happy Karen completed lots of work.  Kudos to Karen!

 

Grant Thanked Alan and Alison for such a great job in the presentation of the Aqua Theatre and the raising of $2500.00 pirate bucks!   Is it real???

 

Nancy happy she made it to the Aqua Theatre and Pirate Party.

 

President Andrew wanted to congratulate Alan and Alison for a great presentation and the Whitfields commented that they are happy to see very good young speakers in the club.  Check out the video on Facebook.

Strategic Planning with President Andrew

 

President Andrew presented Margaret Walton's video of why our club needs Strategic Planning. 

The Why?   Establishes goals for the present year and years to come.   A plan that the Orillia Rotary Club can build on from year to year.

A Strategic Plan is a building block  to explore ideas, discuss and move ideas forward.

Sandra Dunham is willing to form the Strategic Planning Committee. 

 

Suggested Evaluation with 13 - 20 people, male & female, different ages and backgrounds.   This meeting would be 2 - 3 hours long if implemented.
