Ralph again does the duty he enjoys so much and fills in for Julie as sergeant at arms. He fines Leanne for too much information in her classification talk, (who knew Ralph was so sensitive ) and then Kevin $2.00 for getting some kind of special treatment, John Mattinson for talking on the phone, Carl for spending 4 1/2 months in Florida and not experiencing our snowy winter, Reid for not sitting with his wife, John madden for tricking Ralph into addressing Debbie K from Huntsville as Mary K, Nancy Amos for suspiciously finding Ralph's missing garbage can lid , and of course Chuck and Leanne for winning 50/50. many of these actions were defended by the accused but none rescinded and all had to pay.
Happy Bucks:
Randy Klein is happy to finished the last piece of renovation to his house which has taken him 20 years to complete. Ralph was happy because their dog had fallen through the lake ice while chasing ducks but was able to get him home safe, Ken Ferrell of Fenlon Falls was pleased to have 8 of his clubs 15 members in attendance today, Leanne was happy to meet her goal of the half Marathon , Bob was happy they sold some car raffle tickets , Chuck was happy to throw in an extra buck for winning the 50/50
Our speaker was unable to attend at the last minute but we had a great deal of business to report;
Instead of committee meetings and as a general update for the club, committee chairs gave short reports on how their committees were doing. They included Local needs, Train, Vocational, and membership.
Also Kevin gave an update on the proposal to run TV bingo as a major fundraiser. These were followed by Debbie K and Ken Ferrill giving updates on their clubs recent activities.
Marilyn had the pleasure of awarding 10 rotarians with attendance pins from 2 years up to 43 years for Don Whitfield it was 168 years of perfect attendance. Well done guys .
Also as promised, we held our charitable donation receipt auction and many rotarians bid furiously to win each offering . There were 11 taxreceipts totally $1900 up for auction but they generated bids
of $1900. which doubled the amount our club will send to foundation.
