1953 - Carter’s Restaurant (south side Mississauga, just east of Peter), also gutted by fire, June 1961
1961 - YMCA, Peter Street (across from post office). A temporary location, while
awaiting the completion of the Carter’s new Restaurant – Sundial Motor Inn, April 10, 1962. The Sundial became our home for next 49 years
2011 - Moving to several locations in an attempt to find a more permanent location. Eventually, settling here, at the Highwayman.
Today we had one of our Newest Members complete her classification Talk.
Chris Reason - Owner of "Beyond Organized"
Chris lives off the Black River and moved up in the area in 1968 with her parents. She has a son and 2 Grandchildren. Her fiance sells large Tow trucks.
As a child her parents bought homes, fixed them up and sold them throughout the years so she was used to moving a lot. Her family became experts in moving and in construction.
Chris spent over 15 years with Al Langman Construction working on OPP detachment and jail projects throughout Ontario. She was responsible for the financials, change orders, co-ordinating sub-trades, materials, specialty items, owner meetings, etc.
She left Langman's to work for a local company which was much better with less traveling and could spend more time with her family. She worked on Residential projects where she could help design and really wotk with the customer in their dream project.
Chris helped one of her friends re-organize her house when her friends husband passed away. This gave her an idea of starting her own business to help seniors in their need to re-organize their house and to down size when the time was ready.
Chris has helped a number of Seniors in accomplishing this tough task of downsizing and re-organizing. This includes helping to re-decorate, re-organize rooms from kitchens to closets, remove contents that could be sold at an auction or donating to a local charity of their choice.
She has a website and would be more than happy to meet for a consultation to help Seniors or anyone for this matter in helping to Re-Organize their homes, apartments, etc.
Thank you Chris for classification talk, it was very insightful and we now know you better.
