November 13
Speaker Marilyn Hanson, all about Membership.

November 20
Guest Speaker - Courtney from Jubilee House
2018/2019 - goal is to raise $ 12K and donate most.
Need volunteers for all races as well as sponsors.
Currently 6 members with average age of 32.
Membership challenges are to find young people who live and in Orillia; most college and university students are not here during the summer months so there is no continuity.
Cannot sustain the club with current membership and there is a definite need to increase membership.

Our guest Speaker was Development Co-Ordinator of Jubilee House , Courtney Willis.

Jubilee House has been serving the needs of women in Orillia since 2000.  In order to demonstrate how the typical  needs of a women with family are compounded  Courtney involved most of the Rotarians to represent the many problems .  This  gave us some insight into the position a woman can find herself in , especially when homeless, jobless, dealing with guilt or depression and at the same time  trying to provide for safety for herself and her children.   Jubilee house staff provide counselling and referral service as well as the immediate needs of food and housing.
