Reflecting on a Week of Remembrance and Community Engagement
Last week, our club came together to recognize and honor the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Members participated in the community march and gathering at Couchiching Park, joining fellow citizens in a powerful show of respect and commitment to reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. It was a meaningful opportunity for learning, reflection, and unity.
Special thanks to everyone who participated, and to Laura Dickson, owner of the local Harvey’s franchise, for generously providing free hamburgers to attendees — a generous and appreciated gesture that added warmth to a solemn day.
